Final Evaluation

For my FMP, my theme and ideas stayed the same. Since I started planning, I knew it wanted it to be glitchcore gore just not what my main subject would be. Among playing around to gather research for my moldboard I thought back to my year 11 exam piece, a horse on a carousel. In my first year of college, I had done my FMP about horse abuse, this all made me think how I can make my current FMP stand out from my last ones, the only thought in my head was to make it as gory as possible. I felt wonderfully comfortable with this as I love making things look out of the ordinary and just disturbing.

I would not say any artist inspired me as really, I just went back on what I have done before, so I guess in hindsight I inspired myself, as while I was doing my piece, I had a 1 to 1 with my tutor and she mentioned about it being a message, I thought this was a clever idea so I based it around people using horses only for their looks and their ability and once they have what they need, they just chuck them aside like trash. I tried to make the horses and uniform- Just everything look beautiful as I could so the first thing you see (aside the gore) will be the horse, the patterns, and the decoration. I truly hope that the message is clear, it might take longer to see but the message is there and clear.

I was digital for my FMP, however for my practice and experimenting I did some pencil, acrylic, and watercolor work to see what works better with glitch core/glitch and let us just say I did not enjoy any of them, however I really enjoyed experimenting.

My outcome matched my results As I did not really change an awful lot apart from find a main subject and execute it.

To improve I really could have researched a lot more on how to do glitch within my pain program and resources I had to my disposal, but I did not. This sucked the life out of me because it was a gore piece, I had to get into the mind set to draw it as if you go into something with a negative motion while trying to do a positive piece, it just turns out lop sided. I really could have put more time into making everything look more realistic but as they say, less is sometimes more and I do tend to overdo things.
