Over the past week I’ve been working on my poster for the show case, finally I have finished the poster. All I really need to do for the poster is the possibly print and frame it quite large. I have taken screen shots of the progress for the poster. I can explain how I have done them step by step.
I took inspiration from other animal abuse posters, mainly horse abuse posters that made me go with something that looks perfectly normal but is actually the harsh reality of the majorette of sport.
The second step was pretty easy it is more or less the line art of the whole piece, I wanted to keep the whole lie art and not have it painted as it would be expected to be.
I did forget to capture the line art of the piece so I ended up capturing the simple base colour with the foam. With the line art I did try to put a lot more detail into the fur as horse fur is pretty hard to do, especially in a time limit that we have. I wanted to make sure that the eyes were nice and detailed as its the eyes that give out more emotion. The next stage was adding some detail the the fur to try and make it a lot more realistic. this was the result.
My final result, the whole image is all done. As I was inspired by other animal abuse posters all that was left t do was add some shine t the light detail along with adding the black background to make the horse almost invisible but still seen.
All that was left to do is edit the piece to truly make a poster, I knew where the writing was going to go and all the colours. This is the final result.
I am very happy with the final result of this, it is exactly how I visioned it.
